Alex Polizzi has revealed her family is buying an East Sussex property which formerly belonged to her grandfather Lord Charles Forte, who founded Trust House Forte.
The star of Five's The Hotel Inspector revealed on Monday that the family is buying back the Star Inn, Alfriston which once belonged to the Forte Group’s Heritage collection.
Speaking on the Jeremy Vine show, Polizzi said: “We’re closing it down at the end of October and it will have seven months of hardcore renovation. I’m so looking forward to getting my teeth into it again.”
The 37-bedroom property, parts of which date to the 13th century, is advertised on Fleurets with a guide price of £2.68m for the freehold and is currently listed as ‘sold subject to contract’.
Polizzi’s mother, Olga Polizzi, sister of Sir Rocco Forte, already has two properties: Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes, Cornwall; and Hotel Endsleigh near Milton Abbot in Devon.
