Pip Lacey to leave Murano

Pip Lacey, head chef at Angela Hartnett's Murano, is to leave the restaurant this summer.

She will be replaced by Oscar Holgado, who was most recently head chef of Pitt Cue in the City. Holgado has worked at Murano before, having joined in 2010 as a demi chef de partie before moving up the ranks to sous chef. He was also part of the opening team at Fera at Claridge's.

Lacey has worked with Hartnett for seven years, first at York & Albany and then Murano. She started out as sous chef and then became head chef.

She will be going part time for the group while she develops her own restaurant concept.

Lacey recently appeared on BBC Two's Great British Menu, where she won the opportunity to cook the starter at a summer banquet celebrating 140 years of Wimbledon.

Murano opened in Mayfair in 2008 and was awarded a Michelin star that same year. It won four AA rosettes in 2013.
