The hotel being built at the Fletton Quays development in Peterborough is to be branded as a Hilton Garden Inn.
Hilton has signed a franchise agreement with Fletton Quays Hotel, a subsidiary of Norlin Hotels Holdings, to open a nine-storey, 160-bedroom hotel, which will have a rooftop bar with views over the River Nene and Peterborough cathedral.
Hilton Garden Inn Peterborough will include meeting rooms, fitness centre and a riverside restaurant, and is due to open in 2019.
Richard Irwin, director of Norlin Hotels Holdings, said: "Hilton Garden Inn Peterborough marks our second collaboration and we look forward to welcoming guests to what will be the city's finest hotel and a destination in its own right."
Norlin Hotels Holdings also owns the recently opened Hampton by Hilton Exeter Airport, which it acquired in 2016.
The Peterborough hotel will be part of the wider £120m Fletton Quays development, which will include flats, offices, shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. The development is being overseen by Peterborough Investment Partnership (PIP), a scheme between Peterborough City Council and GB Strategic Land Fund.
Councillor John Holdich, leader of Peterborough City Council and chair of the PIP board, said: "The inclusion of a global hotel brand like Hilton will add to the prestige of Fletton Quays. This will be a real asset for the city and is sure to bring visitors from far afield."
