Chef Peter Lloyd signs two-year contract with JW Marriott Doha

Chef Peter Lloyd, owner of London’s Sticky Mango restaurant, has signed a two-year deal to collaborate with the JW Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha in Qatar.

He has developed a new menu at the hotel’s pan-Asian restaurant, Shanghai Club, after running a pop-up earlier this year.

Lloyd’s career spans more than 30 years in the hospitality industry and he previously worked with Marriott International when chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten appointed him executive chef at Spice Market at the W Hotel London in 2011.

“JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha is extremely honored and thrilled to welcome back to Qatar one of the world’s greatest chefs”, said Esra Parin, general manager of JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha.

“Marrying sweet, sour, salty and umami flavors together in a harmonious melody of dishes, chef Lloyd is set to take our diners on a gastronomic journey of delight set to the beautiful backdrop of Shanghai Club restaurant.”

Lloyd opened Sticky Mango in London’s Waterloo in 2016.
