Pension fund buys Legoland Windsor Resort hotel for £36m

The 150-bedroom Legoland Windsor Resort Hotel has been sold for £36m in an off-market transaction.

The property was bought by the Standard Life Long Lease Pension Fund from real estate investment company Aprirose.

Located within the 150-acre Lego theme park, the hotel is let to resort owner Merlin Entertainment under a long-term lease agreement with 28 years remaining.

The hotel, which features restaurants, bars, conference facilities and swimming pools, opened in 2012.

Knight Frank advised the Standard Life Long Lease Pension Fund.
