Paul Foster invites top chefs to his restaurant for new podcast The Nightcap

Michelin-starred chef Paul Foster has launched a podcast from his Stratford-upon-Avon restaurant, inviting some of the country's top chefs to enjoy dinner and a nightcap.

The podcast, titled The Nightcap, will see Foster's guests join him and podcaster Simon Alexander for a late-night lock-in after enjoying an eight-course tasting -menu.

The first episode with Holborn Dining Room's Calum Franklin is out now, with guests including Tim Allen of Tim Allen's Flitch of Bacon; Aaron Mullis, former head chef of Tom Kerridge's Hand & Flowers; Peter Sanchez Iglesias of Casamia and Frances Atkins of the Yorke Arms to follow.

The guests and hosts will reveal what life behind a Michelin-starred pass is like covering topics such as kitchen banter and when it crosses a line, self-sustainability, work ethics and customer complaints.

Foster said: "All the guests on series one are completely different in personality, cooking styles and walks of life. Chefs love to talk about what gets them up in the morning and what pisses them off. Plus they get a night away, free booze, taster menu and a night in a hotel, why would they say no? I know every guest has loved coming on because they've had a opportunity to talk honestly about what they do."
