Specialist caterer will be serving all daypart meals at Reading-based private educational establishment.
Palmer & Howells has secured a catering contract with the Oratory Prep School in Reading worth in excess of £1m in turnover.
The specialist independent school and workplace caterer will be responsible for providing culinary services including breakfast, lunch and supper, supplemented by snacks, for pupils, boarders, staff members and nursery children.
Additionally, Palmer & Howells will provide hospitality for events and sporting occasions such as sports teas.
Andrew De Silva, headmaster of the Oratory Prep School, said: “We recognise the important role that healthy and delicious food plays in nurturing young bodies and minds. Palmer & Howell’s emphasis on nutritious, creative and contemporary food choices is a natural fit for our school.”
Jeremy Alderton, managing director of Palmer & Howells, said the caterer wants to help create “a healthy community through nourishing and appetising food and exceptional service”.
He added: “We are also excited to offer the school access to our groundbreaking Fuelling Potential Platform. This is a comprehensive resource designed to educate children and adults on the critical importance of adopting a diet and lifestyle that will help them reach their potential both mentally and physically.”
Last year, Palmer & Howells entered into a catering partnership with Wychwood School in Oxford for an undisclosed sum.
Palmer & Howells is a privately owned company founded in 1998 that provides catering services for around 20 independent day and boarding schools across the country.
