Switzerland-based food preparation equipment brand Pacojet has found a new route to market in the UK.
Micro-pureéing mixer brand Pacojet has appointed Metcalfe Catering Equipment as its sole UK importer.
The agreement with the Swiss firm will see Metcalfe take over responsibility for the sales and servicing of Pacojet products and accessories in the UK, including the latest version, the Pacojet 4, which the company launched as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations in 2022.
Pacojet appliances enable chefs to ’Pacotize’ (micro-purée) fresh, deep-frozen foods using overpressure without thawing.
Neil Richards, managing director of Metcalfe, said: “Pacotizing redefines traditional methods of preparing food from scratch using fresh ingredients such as herbs, fish, meat, fruit, and vegetables.
“The resulting dishes are packed with flavour and feature ultra-fine, airy textures that preserve the fresh, natural colours and nutrients – it’s a testament to Pacojet’s exceptional reputation that the word Pacotizing has entered everyday use in commercial kitchens.”
Commenting on the new partnership, Mario Heyninck, chief sales officer, Pacojet International, said: “Pacojet team wishes Metcalfe every success in offering chefs an essential appliance that combines creativity, efficiency and sustainability while transforming ordinary ingredients into excellent culinary creations.”
Metcalfe already supplies commercial food preparation equipment from brands such as Hallde, Roband, Edlund, Ceado and Tormek.
