The Old Course hotel in St Andrews, Fife, has joined the Legend Collection of luxury sales and marketing consortium Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
The five-red-AA-star hotel, owned by American conglomerate Kohler Co, recently reopened following a three-month, multi-million pound total refurbishment of its 144 bedrooms and an extension to its spa.
All guests of the hotel are now eligible to enrol in the iPrefer hotel rewards programme.
Old Course hotel general manager Stephen Carter said: âWe are delighted to join Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection. Itâs a real honour to be part of this collection, side by side with some of the most iconic hotels in the world. We look forward to working with the great team moving forward.â
Brenda Collin, managing director of UK, Ireland, Nordics and the Netherlands for Preferred Hotels & Resorts, added: âAs one of the worldâs foremost golf and spa resorts, we are honoured to welcome Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa as the first-ever Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection property in Scotland. We look forward to maximising the potential of the propertyâs recent multi-million pound investment and delivering a new outstanding experience to our global clientele.â
