Cateys 2015 Pub and Bar Award winner Barworks is to launch a new all-day neighbourhood bar restaurant and café concept in Keltan House, near London Fields Park this Winter.
Keltan House will house a bar, restaurant and deli serving craft beer and wine and dishes from the menu created by Chiltern Firehouse head chef Nuno Mendes.
Marc Francis-Baum, co-founder of Barworks, said: "Mare Street Market will open in Winter 2017 and we have partnered up with world-renowned chef Nuno Mendes to create a fantastic space that will offer everything from a bar and restaurant to record shop and florist, which will all be local independent businesses trading under one roof."
Barworks was founded 21 years ago when Swedish entrepreneurs Andreas Akerlund and Patrik Franzen opened the Two Floors bar in Soho. Two Floors manager Marc Francis-Baum became the third partner in 2000.
Barworks now operates 29 London sites including the Black Heart, Camden, the Diner in Soho, Camden, Islington, Covent Garden, Spitalfields and Gloucester Road and Electricity Showrooms in Shoreditch.
Acting on behalf of Hackney Council, CF Commercial secured the 8,800 sq ft on 25-year lease for Barworks.
