Norwich’s Farmyard restaurant shuts its doors

Andrew Jones and Hannah Springham’s bistro brand will continue in dine at home form.

Farmyard restaurant in Norwich has closed after seven years in operation.

The relaxed bistro was founded in 2017 by chef patron Andrew Jones, who previously worked with chefs including Richard Corrigan and Claude Bosi, and his wife Hannah Springham.

Thanking its customers, suppliers and staff, Farmyard posted on social media: “We’d like to think we will reopen our lovely restaurant again one day, perhaps when the climate for hospitality is more stable.

“Until then we will be passionately channelling our efforts into our other dine at home business Farmyard Frozen.”

Farmyard was listed in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland and earned three AA Rosettes for culinary excellence, with the latter praising the bistro for featuring “lots of local produce on the menu”.

The restaurant featured in The Caterer’s Menuwatch in 2022, where Jones said he wanted to showcase regional suppliers across the à la carte and tasting menus, with dishes produced from scratch in its open kitchen.

The Caterer has reached out to Farmyard for comment.
