Northern Powerhouse Developments (NPD) has acquired Bourton Hall in Warwickshire for an undisclosed sum.
The Grade II-listed residence, also known as Dunsmore Hall, takes the number of UK hotels owned by the Yorkshire-based group to 16, and joins its Manor Collection.
The hotel will shortly undergo extensive renovation to transform it into a luxury hotel and spa retreat.
Located near Stratford-upon-Avon, Bourton Hall dates to 1791 and retains original features, many designed and built by the architect H A Peto.
Richard Lewis, chief executive of NPD Hotels, said: "We are thrilled to have acquired such a beautiful and historic property as Bourton Hall. It is a property of immense character and elegance."
NPD chairman Gavin Woodhouse added: "Over the coming months we will sympathetically transform the main hall of the building to provide 56 luxurious en suite bedrooms, while outside we will introduce further bedrooms to the existing stable blocks, build a state-of-the-art spa and add luxurious villas in the grounds."
All NPD hotels are managed by Giant Hospitality, the operating division of NPD.
