The 2007 Northern Hospitality Awards were held last night with the Lifetime Achievement award going to the North-East's Terry Laybourne, owner of the Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle and the 70-seat Café 21.
Yorkshire took four of the eight categories in front of an audience of 250 at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester.
Michael Wignall, executive head chef at one-Michelin-starred North Yorkshire's Devonshire Arms took home the Best Chef award.

Best Chef Mentor: Paul Askew, London Carriage Works, Liverpool, Merseyside
Best Bar: Trio Bar and Grill, Leeds, West Yorkshire
Lifetime Achievement: Terry Laybourne
