Nobu Shoreditch has announced the appointment of Romain Devic as executive chef.
The restaurant, within the Nobu Hotel Shoreditch, opened in July 2017. It is the third under the Japanese brand in London joining Nobu at the Como Metropolitan hotel in Old Park Lane, which opened in 1997, and a site on Berkeley Street, which opened eight years later.
Devic joins the restaurant at Nobu's first London hotel having worked for the group since 2012 in Miami, the Bahamas and Ibiza.
The chef began his career as a commis pastry chef at Hotel Les Airelles in Courchevel before moving on to Michelin-starred restaurants Bar & Boeuf in Monte Carlo, Le Jules Verne on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and France's Auberge du Vieux Puits.
Nobu was founded in 1994 when Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa opened his first restaurant in partnership with the actor Robert De Niro and former film producer Meir Teper.
Alongside the six hotels, the Nobu brand encompasses 38 restaurants and seven hotels worldwide.
