Chef Nico Simeone is set to open his third restaurant Six by Nico in Edinburgh in April.
The 70-cover site will launch on Hanover Street on the former site of Passorn Thai brasserie. It will be the third addition to his restaurant portfolio, following the launch of two restaurants in Glasgow: 111 by Nico, which opened in 2015, and Six by Nico (pictured), which opened last year.
The Edinburgh restaurant will replicate the concept of his Six by Nico Glasgow restaurant and will also have a wine and cocktail bar.
Every six weeks the restaurant will serve a new six-course tasting-menu based on a place, memory or idea, drawing inspiration from home and abroad.
The new site will have a minimal design, designed by Severino and blk 29, with an open kitchen.
Simeone said: "We couldn't be more delighted about bringing a completely new offering and dining experience to the people of Edinburgh."
Born in Glasgow to Italian parents, Simeone previously worked at the Michelin-starred Number One at Balmoral in Edinburgh, where he was awarded Young Scottish Seafood Chef of the Year award in 2010.
