French bistro brand Bistrot Pierre has announced the promotion of chief operating officer Nick White to chief executive officer to help to drive the business forward.
He takes the reins from founder and current CEO John Whitehead who will continue to be involved in the business as a member of the board in a non-executive director role.
Whitehead, who founded the 22-strong group with Robert Beacham in Nottingham 24 years ago, said: "Nick brings a wealth of experience that is exactly what we need as we prepare for our next stage of growth. As COO, Nick has already made a number of significant changes that have added real value to our business and the way we work."
White will oversee Bistrot Pierre's plan to open three restaurants in the next year starting in August with the conversion of a church in Preston following a £1.3m investment.
White whose previous experience includes roles at Bella Italia, Chiquito and Pizza Hut, added: "I am delighted to take over the CEO role from John, as we further expand the business. I have really enjoyed my role as COO and I look forward to working alongside John and the team as we continue to grow Bistrot Pierre."
Bistrot Pierre serves Anglo-French dishes using seasonal ingredients sourced from France. In 2015, Bistrot Pierre received a £9.8m investment from Livingbridge Private Equity to expand further across the UK.
