Nic Oldham has been appointed general manager of Trump Turnberry resort in Ayrshire, Scotland.
Oldham was previously director of sales and marketing at the 198-bedroom hotel, which is surrounded by two 19-hole golf courses and one nine-hole course.
He joined the property, which has hosted four Open Championships, from Crieff Hydro hotels, where he was head of customer and commercial.
He started his career in hospitality over 40 years ago as a graduate of Bournemouth University, from where he received his BA in hospitality management.
Oldham has revealed plans to elevate Trump Turnberry to a “must-visit luxury destination”, attracting both domestic and international guests.
Trump Turnberry also features the 1906 restaurant, the Duel in the Sun restaurant in the 19th hole, a 65-foot heated infinity pool, bio-sauna, sensory showers, steam room and the Turnberry Stables for outdoor activities.
The hotel itself dates back to 1906. It received a £200m investment from the Trump Organization, which purchased the property in 2014.
