New Stock Exchange hotel restaurant to be called Stock Market Grill

The restaurant replacing the Bull and Bear at Gary Neville’s Stock Exchange hotel in Manchester is to be called the Stock Market Grill.

Joe and Daniel Schofield and James Brandwood – behind the city’s Schofield’s, Atomeca and Sterling bars – will open their first restaurant at the property at the end of February.

The menu will offer traditional British dishes using local, high-quality produce, including whipped black pudding with yolk on toast, tartare of rib-eye with caper jam and smoked dripping, steamed cod with caramelised mash and tartare sauce, and a sticky toffee tart with honey custard.

Neville said: “I am incredibly excited to be working with the Schofield brothers again on the launch of the Stock Market Grill. I know they will bring another world class-brand to the Stock Exchange hotel and to our city.”

The trio said: “We are really looking forward to the launch of the Stock Market Grill. This is a concept that we have wanted to bring forward for some time and the former trading floor of the Stock Exchange seemed like the perfect option. Our aim is to reinvent the traditional hotel restaurant, to become a space destined for food and drink travellers, whilst providing an expectation exceeding experience for the residents of the hotel.”

Kerridge and Neville, announced last month that the Bull and Bear would close from 1 January. The hotel building originally opened as the Manchester stock exchange in 1906 and was relaunched by Neville's GG Hospitality in 2019.
