Peppadew has launched Peppadew Bites for foodservice. The bites combine sweet, tangy Piquanté pepper with West Country soft cheese, coated in a crisp, panko-style crumb.

Kumana avocado hot sauce

 

 

Kraft Heinz Foodservice and the Restaurant Group’s casual dining chain Chiquito have joined forces to bring the UK’s first avocado hot sauce to out-of-home customers. Kumana is a Venezuelan-inspired avocado hot sauce with jalapeño, mango and Habañero chilli that delivers sweetness with punches of heat.

Middleton Food’s Vegan Burger Mix

 

 

Middleton Food’s Vegan Burger Mix is made in the UK using carrot, pumpkin and beetroot and developed without soy, wheat or e-numbers. Just add oil and water to create vegan patties with a traditional burger appearance.

Victuallers Special Edition Rhubarb & Bergamot Gin

 

 

The Salcombe Distilling Co has launched its Victuallers Special Edition Rhubarb & Bergamot Gin, which uses nine botanicals, including rhubarb, bergamot, kumquat juniper and angelica. The gin has a palate of sweet rhubarb with scents of citrus and a dry and refreshing finish.

Showerings cider

 

 

Showerings is a dry, gently carbonated cider. For its launch, the light and fresh 2021 vintage has been blended with 2017 and 2018 vintages and then fermented for a mature depth and character. The apples (predominantly the Dabinett variety) are grown from a single award-winning orchard and taken to the Showerings’ cider mill just seven miles away.

Saplings refill pouches

 

 

Sapling Spirits, which plants a tree for every bottle sold, has recently launched refill pouches with the same promise – for every pouch purchased, a tree is planted. Once your bottle has been refilled, the pouch can be posted back without a stamp for it to be recycled.

Sandford Orchards’ Coronation Devon Red Cider

 

 

Sandford Orchards’ new Limited Edition Coronation Devon Red Cider (ABV 4.5%) is now available in 500ml bottles. The medium cider is created from apples grown and pressed in Devon by Sandford Orchards, the oldest working cider mill in the UK.

Mermaid Spiced Rum from the Isle of Wight Distillery

 

 

The Isle of Wight Distillery has launched Mermaid Spiced Rum, which combines Caribbean rums from Trinidad and the Dominican Republic with local fruits and spices from the Isle of Wight. The glass bottle features a cork stopper and a tamper-proof seal made from corn and potato starch, which composts in food waste recycling within 6-12 weeks.

Ikigai Collection La liquers

 

 

Love Drinks’ Japanese portfolio has expanded with the roll-out of a trio of liqueurs from the ‘La’ brand, part of the Ikigai Collection, curated by BBC Spirits. The range includes La Tomato, La Yuzu and La Okinawa, all produced at the Tokyo distillery by sake and shochu producer Godo Shusei Co.

Peugeot’s new Maestro pepper mill has a glass jar at the base that screws off to swap with different varieties of pepper. The grind size is adjustable and the mill has an upright mechanism to avoid mess. To accompany the mill Peugeot is offering a collection of six premium peppers.
