The Eden Project has submitted altered design and layout plans for the hotel it hopes to open at its site in Cornwall.
Last February planning permission was granted by Cornwall Council for the 109-bedroom, £8.5m hotel and it was due to open in April 2018.
Eden has now submitted an updated plan for consideration by the council condensing two hotel buildings into become one as well as reducing its overall size and visual impact.
If the amended plans are approved, construction is due to begin in November 2018 and be complete by January 2020, and the hotel would open in the spring of 2020.
Planning permission was originally granted for a hotel at what is Cornwall's largest visitor attraction in June 2015 and a revised design with additional facilities was submitted in May 2016, but later withdrawn following opposition.
The hotel will be funded by commercial and private borrowing. It is estimated that 35-40 new jobs will be created for the hotel including opportunities for apprenticeships.
