The 16th century Lygon Arms in Broadway, Worcestershire, has unveiled details of its multi-million refurbishment, including the launch of two new food and beverage venues.
The Lygon Bar & Grill opens this week, while the Mediterranean-inspired Lygon Wine Bar will launch next month, followed by the completion of the wider renovation of the property in the autumn.
Interior designer Anita Rosato has created the transformation, which will take the bedroom count up from 78 to 86 bedrooms, including three luxury suites and six courtyard suites. The hotel will also see the launch of the Lygon Spa.
The Lygon Arms became the sister property to Chewton Glen in New Milton, Hampshire, and Cliveden House in Taplow, Berkshire, after being acquired 18 months ago by property group L+R, owned by brothers Ian and Richard Livingstone.
Graeme Nesbitt, general manager of the Lygon Arms, who joined the hotel a year ago from Hallmark Hotels, said: âIt is with great pleasure that we enter the final phase of this monumental refurbishment of the Lygon Arms, to unveil an exciting new chapter in the propertyâs grand history.
âOur team has worked alongside the best talent to create a vision that celebrates and brings to life the propertyâs charm and long-standing heritage, and above all, ensures our guest experience is truly memorable.â
