New Horizons Youth Centre raises £25,000 in partnership with Green & Fortune

The event, which was held at Rotunda to celebrate the charity’s 50th anniversary, saw 100 attendees raise money to benefit vulnerable and at risk young people in London.

It included a BBQ and raffle on Rotunda’s canal side terrace, followed by an auction chaired by Channel 4 newsreader Jon Snow â€" who is patron of the charity.

Green & Fortune organised the event in collaboration with the charity, including all logistics, set up and delivery as well as providing catering.

This comes as part of a year-long sponsorship partnership between Green & Fortune and the New Horizons Youth Centre.

Green & Fortune CEO John Nugent has also supported the development of  New Horizons Youth Centre's 50th year plan. The plain aims to have 50 businesses involved with the charity.

Nugent said: “New Horizons is such a great charity and we’re delighted to be able to help them in this very special year for them. As a hospitality provider, we employ a number of young people across the business and witness first-hand the issues many of them face daily, it’s fantastic to see a charity dedicated to supporting them and raising awareness of homelessness in particular. The generosity of the people attending was encouraging to see with Jon Snow even auctioning his own tie, the money raised will make a huge difference to the day-to-day operations of the charity.”

Green & Fortune was founded by John Nugent in 2008. The company operates Kings Place Events, the Green & Fortune Café and Rotunda Bar and Restaurant all located in Kings Place.

In 2016 Green & Fortune signed a deal with Ogilvy & Mather to oversee all hospitality and catering at the Sea Containers site, including a second Green & Fortune Café alongside Cucumber Bar and Bistro and Sunset Bar & Café.
