Hayley Lane has joined Manchester airport's four-AA-star Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow hotel as general manager.
Lane joins the Cheshire hotel from her role as hotel manager at the Best Western Plus Samlesbury hotel in Preston. She has also been deputy general manager of the Macdonald Portal hotel in Cheshire and was hotel manager of Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire.
Her appointment follows the departure of the previous incumbent of six years, John Scott, who left to join the four-AA-star Alderley Edge hotel in Cheshire.
Lane said: "Our main focus is to maximise on the potential offered by the hotel's improvements. We will be introducing new sales and marketing initiatives in the next few months, based on the flexibility of our packages and quality of service that we deliver, that will take the hotel into 2018 in a strong position."
In 2016, the hotel completed a £2m development project adding 19 bedrooms and making design improvements, both internally and externally, to the existing 1970s hotel extension.
The hotel owners, a partnership of the four directors at the Castle Green hotel in Kendal in Cumbria, also invested £1.5m in the property in 2014 to create 12 new en-suite bedrooms, increase lounge space on the ground floor and launch the Restaurant One Eighty.
