Neil Rankin has announced he will open his third Temper restaurant in London's Covent Garden, with a focus on cured meat pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven.
The site follows Rankin's BBQ-meat restaurants in London's Soho, which has a focus on tacos, and Angel, which has a strong curry focus.
Rankin, with business partner and managing director Sam Lee, will open the restaurant in spring offering two types of pizza as well as a range of ragus using game, goat and pork, all served with fresh bread or gnocchi.
The central counter kitchen will provide theatrical focus, with a large wood-fired oven at one end and a bar at the other, offering a diverse and exciting vermouth menu.
Temper Covent Garden will be the first site to open for breakfast, offering freshly baked croissants as well as home-cured bacon and sausages.
