Nando's cries fowl over reports of Conservative discount card

Nando's has cried fowl following reports that the Conservative party would offer members discounts at the chicken chain's restaurants.

Tory chiefs had reportedly considered the discount offer as a means to boost party membership, but the casual dining chain has said no political discount card exists.

A party source had told The Times: "The discount card is a very real possibility."

But, a spokesperson for Nando's said: "Nando's has no political affiliations as a brand and no political discount card exists.

"We have a Nando's loyalty card and standard gift cards that anyone can use, and we offer a 20% discount to police, fire services, ambulance service and NHS staff."
