The original Motcombs in London’s Belgravia was launched by the then manager of Scott’s Mayfair in 1982.
Motcombs in London’s Belgravia is set to open its first new restaurant in over 40 years in London’s St John’s Wood.
The 3,000 sq ft restaurant will launch in early October and offer 80 covers as well as a standalone bar with eight bar stools and a covered outdoor terrace seating 16 guests.
The menus have been developed by head chef of Motcombs Belgravia, Veronica Pestana, who will also lead the opening of the new site.
Dishes will be served from breakfast to dinner, while a New York-style pizza selection will be exclusively available to St John’s Wood diners.
The restaurant will feature artistic decor complete with paintings, a marble-topped bar and two ornate chandeliers.
Ross Anderson, owner of Motcombs, said: “After more than 40 years in Belgravia, we are delighted to be opening the doors to our second restaurant in St John’s Wood. We hope to become another local favourite in our new north London neighbourhood, offering the same warm and familiar charm.”
The first Motcombs was opened in 1982 by the then manager of Scott’s restaurant in London’s Mayfair.
