Mos Shamel, managing director of Las Iguanas, is stepping down from the business after 16 years "to pursue a fresh challenge outside of the group".
Restaurant group Las Iguanas is one of Casual Dining Group's (CDG) brands and has 55 locations in the UK with another site set to open in Watford later this summer. CDG plans to announce a successor to Shamel in the coming months.
Shamel said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey with Las Iguanas and CDG, and this was an incredibly difficult decision, as this is a great business with fantastic people, but after 16 years it is time for me embrace a fresh challenge."
James Spragg, chief executive of CDG, said: "We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Mos for his immense contribution to Las Iguanas, which has grown into one of the UK's leading restaurant-bar businesses, and one that is consistently placed in The Sunday Times' prestigious Top 100 Companies To Work For.
"He leaves Las Iguanas in great shape, with a really strong and motivated team, and in impressive like-for-like sales growth, and we wish Mos the best for the future."
