Equipment manufacturer Moffat has reopened its Bonnybridge factory as lockdown eases with staff safety at the top of the agenda.
The Covid-19 lockdown represents the longest period of closure in the company’s 57-year history. Moffat’s products are designed to meet the needs of key sectors like hospitals, care homes and schools, and there have been orders throughout lockdown as purchasing managers look for ways to adapt catering operations to conform with the requirements of social distancing.
Production will be built up gradually over the coming weeks to meet customer demand, with every effort made to return to normal output as soon as possible.
Kal Kalsi, sales manager at Moffat, commented: “Moffat equipment plays a vital role in the catering operations of industries that have been at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19, and we have maintained service and support to them throughout the lockdown. Now is a good opportunity to thank staff, customers and supply partners for their patience and understanding throughout the shutdown period.”
