Modern leadership under the microscope at The Caterer Summit

Modern leadership and techniques to engage employees and boost productivity will be among the topics under the microscope at The Caterer Summit.

The conference, which takes place at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower on 13 November, features a host of inspirational leaders including Corbin & King's Jeremy King, Hawksmoor's Will Beckett, the Hoxton's Sharan Pasricha and chef-restaurateurs Marcus Wareing and Chris Galvin.

Among the panel sessions and presentations, modern leadership will be debated by Daniel Willis from the Clove Club, Duck & Waffle's Dan Doherty and the Berkeley's Justin Pinchbeck.

They will discuss how to motivate the next generation of hospitality employees and inspire teams to deliver exceptional service.

The Caterer deputy editor James Stagg said: "With the skills shortage still high on the agenda as the hospitality sector continues to grow, and pressures such as the National Living Wage on the horizon, there is plenty to occupy the minds of hotel and restaurant leaders.

"This panel session will explore the shape of the modern leader with those who have set the benchmark for contemporary hospitality. Our speakers all run operations where excellence is the expectation, and they'll explain how they engage all employees to deliver."

The Caterer Summit will detail the influences that are changing the way hospitality businesses operate. Throughout the day expert panels and speakers will deliver inspiration and advice for attracting and impressing the new breed of guest, with advice on everything from design to tipping.
