Miles Slade has been appointed operations director of RedCat Pub Company’s pub division.
Slade joins from London-based pub company Urban Pubs and Bars, where he held the position of operations director.
He previously spent 20 years at JD Wetherspoon, where he was retail director for eight years.
RedCat was founded by Rooney Anand, former chief executive of Greene King, in February 2021 after it raised £200m in equity with support from Oaktree Capital Management.
It has since acquired 116 pubs and pub hotels, with an estate amounting to over 1,400 rooms.
Anand, executive chairman of RedCat Pub Company, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Miles to RedCat. He is an excellent fit for our business, with excellent pub operations experience, and a great combination of big company corporate experience, as well as with a fast moving, entrepreneurial and nimble business, with a similar mentality to RedCat. He’s a great addition to the RedCat team.”
Slade added: “I’m excited to be joining RedCat and bringing my experience in the pub industry to bear. RedCat has seen remarkable growth and I’m looking forward to working with the team as they further strengthen their position and continue to build an outstanding pub and pub hotels business.”
