Medirest secures five-year Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust contract extension

Medirest, part of the healthcare sector of Compass Group UK and Ireland, has extended its contract with the Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust for a further five years.

The previous six-year partnership saw Medirest offer support services across 52 Trust sites in areas including the New Forest, Portsmouth, and Ashford (pictured).

Over 280 people are employed to provide support services such as cleaning and portering.

As part of the contract extension, Medirest has committed to provide investment in technology such as a cleaning robot and new iMops with faster brush rotations.

Compass offers food and support services in around 6,000 locations across the UK and Ireland.
