Vincent Menager has been appointed executive chef for ME Hotel London, overseeing menu development for the hotel's STK London steakhouse, the Radio Rooftop bar, and the hotel's Marconi lobby bar.
Menager is originally from Brive-la-Gaillarde, France and cooked for events such as the BAFTAs, the British Fashion Awards, the Prince's Trust Gala and Royal Ascot through his most recent position as executive chef for Rhubarb Food Design.
He replaces Barry Vera, who has taken up the position of managing director of London event catering company Create Food.
Previous to his work at Rhubarb, he began his career with Sofitel Hotels in 1998 at Il Cortile, a Michelin-starred Italian restaurant at the Castille hotel in Paris, before moving onto Le Relais du Parc at Sofitel Le Parc as chef de partie.
In 2000 he became chef de partie at chef Alain Dutournier's Café Faubourg at the Sofitel Paris le Faubourg. In 2005 he moved to Sofitel New York's French eatery, Gaby, and served as sous chef, before he was promoted to executive chef. He has also worked at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth hotel in Australia, Hotel Sofitel Boao in China and Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit before coming to the UK to work at Sofitel St James' Brasserie Roux and the Balcon.
