Matthew Drinkwater appointed GM of Nadler Victoria

Nadler Hotels has appointed Matthew Drinkwater as general manager of the Nadler Victoria hotel in London.

Drinkwater joins Nadler Hotels following more than two years as hotel manager at Dukes London, and previous managerial roles at Amberley Castle, Danesfield House and the Felbridge hotel. In 2011, he was awarded The Caterer's Acorn Award.

He said: "I was immediately won over by Nadler Hotels' innovative concept, which I see as the future of hospitality. I am excited to be joining such a forward-thinking brand."

He replaces Roberto Russo, who has joined co-living building the Collective Old Oak in London as hospitality manager.

Since the hotel's opening in December 2015, the Victoria area has seen significant recent regeneration.

Chief executive Robert Nadler said: "Our guests have come to expect the very best levels of service and personable, engaging staff, and Matthew's excellent track record of delivering exactly this, makes him the perfect fit."

Founded in 2006 by entrepreneur Robert Nadler, Nadler Hotels focus on design-led properties in city-centre locations. The group comprises three hotels in London (Kensington, Soho and Victoria) and one in Liverpool. New openings are planned in Covent Garden in early 2019, and Manchester.
