Martin Shuker to retire after 24 years with KFC

Martin Shuker, managing director of KFC Western Europe, has announced his decision to retire after 24 years with the company.

He will step down in mid-February and Oleg Pisklov, managing director for Russia, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), will be assuming responsibility for the Western Europe markets.

Shuker took on his current role in March 2017, having previously been general manager for the KFC UK & Ireland for 13 years. He also worked for United Biscuits for nine years.

Shuker said: “Seeing the business grow and prosper is testament to the talent and amazing people at KFC, and I’m excited to watch the next chapter in the history of a truly iconic brand.”

Tony Lowings, KFC global chief executive, said: “Martin leaves an impressive legacy as a passionate and loyal KFC leader. He oversaw a brand transformation during his time leading our KFC UK&I and Western Europe businesses, as well as extensive sales growth. Martin will be dearly missed and I congratulate Martin on his well-earned, upcoming retirement.”
