Marco Pierre White is to open his American-Italian restaurant brand in the 144-bedroom Mercure London Bridge hotel next month.
White's New York Italian will be the 10th restaurant opening this year for his company, Black & White Hospitality. The former Loft restaurant and bar has undergone a £200,000 refurbishment to create the concept.
Dishes on the new menu will include sharing boards, yellowfin tuna à la Napoli, hickory smoked ribs and the great American beef burger.
White said: "The essence of my New York Italian concept is the belief that high quality food should be an experience that is shared and enjoyed with friends and family, whatever the occasion.
"Our new London Bridge restaurant will be among the first to serve our new menu, which is absolutely brimming with delightful choices that will offer something for every palate and wallet, all served in relaxed yet elegant surroundings."
Â
Jonathan Sheard, senior vice president, operations, luxury, upscale and midscale AccorHotels UK and Ireland, said: "Our guests at Mercure demand a certain level of warm, understated elegance, coupled with the certainty that comes from an internationally recognised brand; that's why Marco's New York Italian is a perfect fit.
Â
"We are enormously excited about attracting such an established, authentic restaurant to the hotel and we are certain it's a partnership that will significantly strengthen the visitor experience for restaurant customers and hotel guests alike."
Marco's New York Italian is one of four restaurant brands operated by Black and White Hospitality under franchise agreements within 21 outlets, alongside Steakhouse Bar & Grill, Wheelerâs of St Jamesâs and Mr Whiteâs English Chophouse.
