Manor hotel on the market for £5.6m

The Manor Hotel at Weston-on-the-Green near Bicester in Oxfordshire has been put on the market for £5.6m.

The Grade II*-listed, property was acquired by entrepreneur and estate developer Paul Oberschneider in 2012 and is operated by Complete Hospitality.
The luxury boutique hotel has 32 bedrooms as well as a 46-cover Baron's Hall restaurant, a Minstrels' Gallery, Bertie's bar and other dining rooms. Weddings and events can be held in the Knot Garden for up to 130 guests. The hotel is set in 12 acres of grounds.

With origins dating back to the Domesday Book, the original Weston Manor House can be traced to the 11th century when it belonged to Osney Abbey. It was surrendered with all its lands during the Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1539. The house was converted to a hotel in 1940.

There are development opportunities to create further bedrooms, a wedding barn and to convert Rupert's cottage into a spa or further bedrooms, subject to planning permission.
