Michelin-starred restaurant Mana in Manchester has reduced the prices of its tasting menu in response to the rising cost of living.
Former Noma chef Simon Martin opened the Ancoats restaurant in 2018 with the premise of serving diners 16 courses in an hour and 45 minutes.
For a period starting 1 November, Mana will reduce the price of its full menu from £195 to £175 and offer an additional discount to those working in the hospitality industry.
Posting the price cut on Instagram, the restaurant said: “We’ve been considering how accessible we are, because our work doesn’t mean as much to us if we’re not able to share it far and wide.
"Aside from our beloved guests, we thought about who else we really wanted to share our excitement with, and we quickly decided it should be others working in hospitality.
"Therefore, from November, we’re offering a further discount to industry colleagues wishing to visit us for our Full Menu on Wednesdays and Thursdays, meaning that you can experience Mana for £125."
The restaurant said anyone working in the hospitality industry who wanted to book a table should directly message them with a preferred date and recent payslip.
Mana's dishes include turbot yaki-zakana; Carlingford Loch oyster with lime and dill; and sweet koji cream, woodruff and Yorkshire strawberries.
