Buttress Group, the parent company of warewasher supplier Maidaid, has been boosted by investment from H2 Equity Partners.
While the size of the private investor’s stake is undisclosed, Oliver Booth, managing director of Buttress Group told The Caterer it is a “relatively large amount”.
The Northamptonshire-based firm will use the funding to support further growth, after having more than doubled in size since 2019, with Booth claiming that Maidaid is now the largest warewasher brand in the UK foodservice sector by volume.
“This is the fourth time in nine years we have raised cash, as we can see opportunities in the market,” he said. “It’s really positive, as you can’t attract investment if you’re not doing something right.”
Buttress Group’s Maidaid division supplies ice machines as well as warewashers, while sister brands Crystaltech and Caterparts offer servicing and spares, respectively.
Booth said Caterparts has doubled in size in the past year thanks to listing additional parts from 50 original equipment manufacturers last June.
