Luxury Family Hotels (LFH) has sold the Elms hotel in Abberley, Worcestershire to the Gemini Group for an undisclosed figure off a guide price of £5m.
LFH put the 23-bedroom property on the market in 2013. The hotel was one of seven properties it acquired following the Von Essen administration in 2011.
At the time the hotel was brought to market, Nigel Chapman, founder and chief executive of LFH, said although the Elms is a "beautiful" property with a "great" spa, it was not in the right geographical location for its family market.
Gemini Group is a Worcestershire-based, privately-owned group of companies overseen by Andrew and Tim Hopkins, brothers who began their careers in the vehicle repair industry and have since expanded into hotels, vineyards, commercial, development and residential properties. The group intends to continue to invest and run the Elms as a luxury hotel.
Savills acted on behalf of Luxury Family Hotels.
