A new combined EPoS and booking offer can optimise table turnover for restaurant operators.
Lightspeed Commerce has integrated its electronic point of sale (EPoS) system with TheFork Manager, a reservation management platform.
The collaboration aims to streamline restaurant operations by synchronising reservations seamlessly and allowing venue owners to manage bookings efficiently, optimising seating arrangements and enhancing the overall dining experience for customers.
Lightspeed and TheFork Manager’s combination can also help to enrich guest databases as well as personalise diners’ experience, thanks to insights including detailed customer spend.
Liam Crooks, managing director of EMEA at Lightspeed, said: “This integration aligns with our commitment to providing innovative tools that empower restaurant owners to thrive in today’s competitive market.”
The integration will enable restaurant staff to view and manage reservations directly from the Lightspeed EPoS interface, reducing the risk of overbooking and minimising waiting times for guests. Additionally, data synchronisation between the two platforms should ensure accurate reporting.
Louis Vernhes, restaurant experience product director of TheFork Manager, said the integration marks a “significant stride” in the company’s growth, and added: “Together, we’re empowering businesses, making it easier to streamline their operations and simultaneously deliver exceptional experiences to their customers.
“Restaurants can leverage the combined capabilities of Lightspeed’s EPoS system and TheFork Manager to optimise table turnover, increase efficiency and ultimately drive revenue growth.”
Previously, Lightspeed also integrated with Deliveroo, with orders made on the delivery platform automatically entered into its system.
