Lello Favuzzi has left his role as executive head chef at the Macellaio RC restaurant group after almost a year in the role.
The chef joined the Italian group in June 2022 but announced on Instagram that Sunday (30 April) had been his last day with the business.
“Just want to thank colleagues, friends and customers who supported me during this time,” he wrote.
“Stay tuned for my new chapter, cannot say too much yet but I’m very excited and it will be amazing.”
Favuzzi previously worked as head chef at London’s Mortimer House Kitchen and spent ten years at L’Anima in Shoreditch.
Roberto Costa, founder of Macellaio, told The Caterer: “It’s been a pleasure having Lello as part of the Macellaio family. We wish him all the best in his next adventure and look forward to announcing our plans for our ever-growing restaurants very soon.”
Macellaio runs six Italian restaurants in London focused on serving Fassona beef.
In February Costa launched a six-month hospitality academy in London to train young people to become “managers and future CEOs”.
