D&D London is to open Le Pont de la Tour Bistrot on 12 May in London’s Shad Thames.
The bistrot is located in the former bar space next to the original Le Pont de la Tour restaurant, which first opened in 1991 in a 19th-century former riverside tea warehouse.
It will be headed by executive chef Tony Fleming, who re-joined D&D in January 2020 after four years at London’s L’oscar hotel.
Previously, he trained with Richard Neat and Marco Pierre White before winning a Michelin star while executive chef at Angler restaurant in London's Moorgate in 2012.
The Bistrot will feature dishes such as warm comté gougères (£4); pig’s head terrine (£9); duck confit, peas à la française, honey and Madeira (£20;) and crème caramel (£6), which reflect Fleming’s selection of relaxed, regional French classics.
There will also be a plats du jour option, featuring rabbit parmentier (£16) on Tuesdays, ray wing au poivre (£16) on Wednesdays, and roast sirloin of Cumbrian beef (£22) on Sundays.
Head sommelier Michele Orbolato has created a complementary wine list, with prices starting from £6 a glass.
The cocktail selection includes 'The Garden of Eden' (cardamom infused Tanqueray, Galliano, Cointreau, caramel, ginger ale); 'Save the Bees' (Woodford Reserve, sage syrup, honey); and 'Midnight Stroll' (Bulleit, Campari, Fernet, Cointreau).
News of the opening comes after the announcement that former Baton Berisha, former chief executive of the Ivy Collection, will be joining D&D London as managing director on 3 May.
