Le Manoir chef patron Raymond Blanc, head chef Luke Selby and chef pâtissier Benoit Blin will cook for guests at the Cateys on 2 July 2024.
Guests attending the biggest celebration of the hospitality industry – the Cateys 2024 – will be treated to a feast from the team at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.
The Cateys, held in partnership with P&O Cruises, returns to JW Marriott Grosvenor House London on Tuesday 2 July to recognise the finest operators and businesses in hospitality.
Those attending the glittering awards this year will enjoy a taste of Le Manoir, with a menu cooked by chef patron Raymond Blanc, head chef Luke Selby, chef pâtissier Benoit Blin and their brigade.
Blanc said: “It’s really exciting and we’re very proud, because the Cateys is a huge event that really celebrates our industry.
“It’s going to be fun, and we’ll see lots of friends. We’re going to cook something really exciting and we will need a bit of help, and the whole team at the Grosvenor House will be helping us make something so special.”
Commenting on the menu, head chef, Luke Selby, said: “Guests can expect an amazing feast and some classic signature flavours from Le Manoir. We’ll be doing a take on the tomato essence and showcasing some of the amazing suppliers we have in the UK.
“It’s a very exciting opportunity to cook for our industry and it’s going to be a very special evening."
While the identity of the chef cooking at The Cateys is normally a closely-guarded secret until guests sit down at the awards ceremony, this year The Caterer is proud reveal the news to celebrate Blanc’s incredible legacy as Le Manoir reaches its 40th anniversary.
Blanc said: “We’re very proud of 40 years of excellence and dedication to helping young people – like Luke [Selby], who is now a brilliant young talent of Great Britain – and many others.
“We’ve trained 45-50 Michelin-starred chefs, plus a countless number of top managers housekeepers, sommeliers, and that is the nicest part – to pass on knowledge to young people to grow them, support them, and be with them on their journey. And make our industry even more beautiful, more professional, and more exciting, so young people can come to us."
