LaLiT London hotel joins Small Luxury Hotels of the World

The 70-bedroom LaLiT London hotel, which opened earlier this year following a five-year restoration, has joined sales and marketing consortium Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH).

The LaLiT, set within the Grade II-listed former St Olave's Grammar School near Tower Bridge, combines original Victorian features with custom-made Indian interiors and modern technology. It is owned by the Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, and is the first property for the group, which owns and operates 11 hotels on the sub-continent, outside of India.

SLH has more than 500 hotels in 80 countries, with the LaLiT being the group's ninth property in London and 36th in the UK.

Daniel Luddington, vice-president of development at SLH, said: "SLH now has nine hotels in London, so any new hotel we add to the collection here has to be something really special. The LaLiT London offers extraordinary attention to detail and craftsmanship as well as a modern take on Indian fine dining."
