Kudu to open two more London sites

Chef Patrick Williams and Amy Corbin are set to open two more sites in London's Peckham, more than a year on from the opening of the original Kudu.

The pair have announced plans on Instagram to open a tapas restaurant called Little Kudu later this year and a cocktail bar Smokey Kudu, both also on Queens Road. The sites will all operate under the new ‘Kudu Collective' brand.

Kudu opened in January 2018, with the kitchen overseen by South African-born Williams, who previously worked as sous chef at Robin Gill's Paradise Garage. Amy Corbin is the daughter of Chris Corbin, of Corbin & King.

The restaurant was named after a type of antelope, and the menu draws inspiration from Williams's South African roots, with dishes such as ‘kudu bread' (the restaurant's signature bread, not including antelope), cooked in a copper pot and served with melted lardon or seafood butter, and mussel potjie pot with seaweed gnocchi.
