Kricket to open site at White City Television Centre

Indian restaurant Kricket will open a new permanent restaurant this summer at the Television Centre development in West London.

The restaurant will join venues including Homeslice, Bluebird and Patty & Bun, as well as a new Soho House hotel, at a new development at the former home of the BBC.

Chef Will Bowlby and Rik Campbell launched Kricket in June 2015 inside one of Pop Brixton's shipping containers as a 20-cover restaurant serving Indian small plates and cocktails. The group's first permanent site opened in January 2017 in London's Soho. The group closed its Pop Brixton site last year to focus on the new permanent site.

The new 3,600 sq ft restaurant will be much larger than the current Soho site, seating up to 140 covers. It will feature an open kitchen, cocktail bar and outdoor terrace.

Campbell said: "We are really excited to be moving into the Television Centre, an iconic building in the heart of West London."

Alistair Shaw, managing director of Television Centre, added: "As one of the brilliant newcomers on the London food scene, Will and Rik's passion, craft and expertise have made Kricket one of the big success stories of 2017. We're thrilled they have chosen Television Centre for their second permanent site."

Kricket has been backed by the White Rabbit Growth Fund, a hospitality investment vehicle founded by Chris Miller, a former commercial director of Soho House Group.
