Klaus Kabelitz leaves the Biltmore Mayfair

Klaus Kabelitz has left his role as general manager of the Biltmore Mayfair hotel in London after nearly two years in the position.

Posting on Instagram, Kabelitz said: “After a tumultuous couple of years, I am moving on to a new chapter in 2022. My heartfelt thank you goes to the amazing ladies and gentlemen of the Biltmore Mayfair who make this hotel. Their hard work and dedication as well as their constant striving to go the extra mile are the reason behind the successes to date and I am very grateful to have been part of them.”

The hotel relaunched as the 308-bedroom Biltmore under Hilton's luxury LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in September 2019 following a £60m redevelopment. Kabelitz joined the property in February 2020 from the Cadogan hotel in London’s Chelsea, of which he oversaw the relaunch in 2019 following a £28m refurbishment.

Kabelitz returned to London having previously worked in Le Richemond in Geneva, a Dorchester Collection hotel, where he moved in 2012 from London after spending nine years as general manager of the Berkeley hotel. Prior to that, he was house manager at Claridge's. He has also worked for Four Seasons in London and Berlin.

The hotel is understood to be in the process of recruiting a replacement general manager.
