KFC forced to close stores as delivery issues see it run out of chicken

KFC has been forced to close some of its takeaway and restaurant branches after delivery issues saw it run out of chicken.

The chicken chain has not confirmed how many venues are affected, but Devon Live has reported multiple closures across the county, with Twitter users also finding stores shut in Suffolk, Surrey and Berkshire.

A KFC spokesperson said: "We deliver fresh chicken to our restaurants, but we're having a few hiccups with our delivery system at the moment. We're really sorry for any inconvenience, and we're working to have all our restaurants back up and running as soon as we can!"

Disappointed chicken lovers have turned to social media.

One said: "Apparently Lowestoft KFC has had to close because they've run out of chicken."

Another added: "How come KFC Bracknell's closed? Was looking forward to a 10 piece bargain bucket with the boys…"

A third added: "Just travelled to the Camberley branch and they have chicken but no chips… Since when does a chicken and chip shop lack chicken and chips?"

Another said: "Only Torquay KFC can close down at midday for being out of chicken."
