Former Midsummer House chef Kathryn Bash has been appointed head pastry chef at the four-star, 40-bedroom Dormy House in Broadway, Worcestershire.
Dormy House underwent a £10m refurbishment in 2013. It houses two restaurants, the Potting Shed and the Garden Room.
Culinary director Martin Burge said: "We're extremely excited to welcome Kathryn Bash to Dormy House. Kathryn brings with her over six years of experience and will oversee the creation and execution of desserts and pastries for both the Garden room and the Potting Shed restaurant.
"Kathryn has joined the team at a very exciting time with the launch of our brand new mix and match style tasting menu in the Garden Room lead by Sam Bowser, Dormy House's recently appointed head chef. I'm very honoured to be working with such great talent."
Chef-proprietor of Midsummer House, Daniel Clifford, said on Twitter: "She is an amazing talent. One of the hardest working I ever had."
Dormy House is part of the Farncombe Estate, which has been owned by the Danish Philip-Sorensen family since 1977 and also includes the Fish Hotel in Worcestershire and Foxhill Manor in the Cotswolds.
