Karan Ghosh has been appointed executive chef of Mama Shelter London Shoreditch.
Ghosh has over 15 years’ experience in the industry, having previously worked as executive chef of Skylight Bars, head chef of El Pastor in London’s Soho and head chef of Thomas’s Café at Burberry in London’s Regent’s Park.
Earlier on in his career, he worked for the likes of Crown Aspinalls, the Metropolitan Hotel and Rhubarb at the Royal Albert Hall.
He said: “I’m overjoyed to be taking on this role at one of East London’s most vibrant and dynamic destinations. The cheery atmosphere and collaborative ethos are infectious as soon as you step through the doors. I’m thrilled to be heading up the kitchen team and can’t wait to hit the ground running.”

Mama Shelter London Shoreditch opened in September 2019 out of a rebrand of RE Hotel London Shoreditch.
AccorHotels acquired a 35% stake in the Parisian Mama Shelter business in 2014.
